GMAT…My New Foe

So, I have discovered the best program in the world. It encompasses exactly what I want to do, and even its mission statement has my buzzword, the word I identify with the most, in the entire world (aside from my name). It’s leadership. And that program? The 2+2 program. And where is that program? … Harvard Business School.

This program lets you work for 2 years and go to school for 2 years (hence 2+2), which would put me graduating in 2016. I am fine with that (I really don’t care!) ;) The problem lies in my GPA. It’s not exactly…the best. At all. There are extenuating circumstances that I’m not comfortable going into here (nothing like drugging or money laundering), but nonetheless, a 2.62 (potentially a 2.77 by the time I apply) GPA is not winning me any favors. So, I am very comfortable with my résumé (and the leadership experience I have), and I’m comfortable that my essays and letters of rec. will be great, so now there’s just that GMAT. I took a practice CAT test…and got a 630. =( I felt kind of like Elle Woods must have when she got her 143 on the LSAT, but she still got into Harvard [fictitiously, but it still counts]. (watching The Office while taking it also probably didn’t help), so now I have to study study study.

So, that’s really what’s been going on recently. Not really a “budgety” item, unless you count all that time that will be budgeted toward preparing for this (du du tshhhh).

So pick me to be in the 2+2 class of 2016!!!
